No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify for expedited underwriting, how the process works, and what happens if you don't meet the requirements.
Accelerated underwriting is now widely available: qualifying applicants within specific age and benefit limits get decisions based on application details, pharmacy records, driving history, and other information—without a paramedic exam. Decisions can arrive within hours. Our quotes note for each product whether an exam is required, conditional, or unnecessary.
What it changes
No exam doesn't equal no review. Your application gets verified, and policies issued on false information can be challenged in the first two years. If the carrier's records flag concerns, they might still request an exam or labs; you'll decide whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Generally, applicants under 60 seeking coverage up to the carrier's no-exam cap, with uncomplicated health history and no tobacco in at least a year qualify. Certain carriers will use recent bloodwork from a doctor's appointment instead of ordering an exam.
Should a medical exam be required, expect a 20 to 30-minute appointment with a paramedic at your residence or workplace in the Lincoln area—no cost to you. For applicants in good health, exam results frequently lead to a better rate classification.
